I think I will be participating in this today. I have to get registered, and I think it starts in an hour. If I get it done I'll post back on it later. National Youth Summits — National Youth Summit on the Dust Bowl

Please leave comments, discussion, feedback, rants, raves, or vents. However, it needs to be appropriate for old ladies, teachers and little kids. No foul language, I tell students that if it belongs in the toilet it shouldn't be coming out of your mouth. Try to be decent to everyone, you don't have to agree, but you need to use courtesy. Thank about how your words or reaction may influence others. If I feel things are out of hand, or you are just being foul, you get one warning, then I will remove you.Thank you and enjoy!

I finally got registered and logged on. Half way through I had a power surge. I got it back up but it took awhile. Luckily they will be loading the recorded webinar on the website!
ReplyDeleteWhy would any bowl be named the Dust Bowl?
ReplyDeleteThe Dust Bowl was the name given to the Great Plains region devastated by drought and severe recurrent dust storms in the 30's. I'm not exactly sure why they picked the name Dust "Bowl." I think it has to do with being left with hollow, empty land, with nothing but dust.
